i am concerned about updating my iPhone 13 Pro Max to the new iOS 16.0.2 . I have heard and seen in the media of the problems it is facing such as unresponsive screen , in addition to flickering of the screen and battery drainage .
I would like a heads up if I should update it , it’s very problematic if I do because I don’t want to do it if I’m seeing that people are having problems with their devices after the update .

Don’t believe everything you read or hear on the internet or from the media. Some users have issues after every single update on every platform, Apple or other brands. It’s just how the universe works.
If you are concerned or scared by what you hear/read then don’t update but realize you will hear/read the same things after every update that comes out after this one too. Realize too that the version of iOS you are running right now was declared to be the very worst update EVER released by Apple.
Do what you want.
But by the way, I update to iOS 16.0.2 and everything is fine. So did my entire family.

It was just an honest concern . I was just asking and making sure , I thought maybe was going to fix the update since it’s getting a lot of problems so that’s why I asked . It was out of curiosity .

The vast majority of the people having screen issues under iOS 16 seem to be people who have aftermarket screen replacements. If you have the original screen or a replacement that was done by Apple, I don't think you'll have a problem.

That's rather unusual. I think incremental updates generally take less than five minutes with a decent network connect.
See the link to the other discussion. I couldn't update from 15.6.1 to 16.0.2 via the iPhone settings. I had to cable-connect the phone to a Mac running iTunes (Mojave) like the old days.
Anyway, the Australian "National Broadband Network" is woeful so no such thing as quick downloads.

Well, informing a user that your special circumstance was a nuisance is not really helpful as it implies everyone has the same experience.
