USB DAC Audioengine D1 plugged in and sound out of balance

I have seen many of the posts similar to this issue - most recently is this:

Quick read thru many threads, I dont know if this is mentioned - but the setup I have is:

MacBook Pro 2020 --> USB-C 32inch monitor --> USB-A to Audioengine D1

It seems like when I plug in Mac to the USB-C to get monitor and DAC connected - sound would almost always go out of balance. I seem to see it happening more and more, but I am pretty sure at times, it works just fine.

I am on MacOS Ventura 13.1.
