MacBook Air showing wifi error

Try and restart the MacBook to see if the issue persist.

If it persists, boot your Mac in the safe mode. In the safe mode all of the external software is disabled, so if it is gone in the safe mode, it is caused by an external piece of software.

1. Turn on or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key until you see the login window.
2. Log in to your Mac.
3. You might be asked to log in again.
4. On either the first or second login window, you should see “Safe Boot” in the menu bar.

if NVRAM-RESET process does not work (mentioned here in other post/page),

then get a 3rd-party wifi-USB adapter that is macOS (Monterey or BIg-Sur or Ventura compatible) compatible, & apply those drivers in Monterey/Big-Sur,

... if wifi-adapter's manufacturer (mfr) supplied it.

there are some WiFi-USB enclosure/case that has internal mPCIe/M2 slot to allow+use (Broadcom chip based) WiFi-card,

you can get a WiFi-card from another Mac which is compatible with Monterey,

from ebay or other online-market.

After Wifi-card arrives, scan it very carefully, research further,

and then order a suitable USB-enclosure/case for the WiFi-card.

if you could not find Monterey supported wifi-usb-adapter or a WiFi-card,

then, get another wifi-USB-adapter that is recommended in this post,

which has more links to other webpages.

(such as : github and other websites , etc ),

this way requires, turning-off macOS's SIP , then perform driver loading, then re-enable SIP

... turning-off SIP in macOS is not-recommended,

but your un-supported wifi-adapter in newer macOS,

makes it necessary for you to get compatible adapter,

as your Macbok-Air does not have any Ethernet port,

so you will need compatible wifi-aapter.

Run/keep hardware in cool place or under-shade place or give it cooler air-flow :

when internal hardware will remain less-heated,

then hardware will perform better & run longer time,

or else various hardware component(s) will crash/fail/damaged.

another alternative is:

get these hardware/cables etc, to have USB/Thunderbolt based Ethernet port:
