Try and restart the MacBook to see if the issue persist.

If it persists, boot your Mac in the safe mode. In the safe mode all of the external software is disabled, so if it is gone in the safe mode, it is caused by an external piece of software.

  1. Turn on or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key until you see the login window.
  2. Log in to your Mac.
  3. You might be asked to log in again.
  4. On either the first or second login window, you should see “Safe Boot” in the menu bar.

This apple discussion support forum's some topic has multiple 📄¹📄²📄³... PAGES,

following GUI (graphical user interface) navigation steps can be used:

and find 🔍 🔎 the PAGE-NUMBER & TOTAL-PAGE indicator line,

such as : "12" (aka: "1of2" , "1 ⇕ 2" , "1 ↕️ 2" , "1 ⟠ 2" )

or "1 ↕ 3" (aka: "1of3" , "1 ⇕ 3" , "1 ↕️ 3" , "1 ⟠ 3" )

3: or, Goto or click-on web-browser (Safari/Firefox/Chrome/Chromium, etc) URL bar (aka: website address box) > then press the ⇨ Right-Arrow key/button to goto the end of the URL (website/webpage) address > then type+add below word+symbols at-end of earlier webpage address:

?page=2

& then press the ⏎ "enter" / "return" key/button on ⌨ keyboard.

to goto page-3, change the "2" in "?page=2", into 3, then add after URL & press enter/return key/button.

4: or, in 📱 mobile device ( Desktop or Mobile screen-viewing mode) , to goto next page : tap/press on the tiny "up" (up-arrow) (⇧ ⍓ 🮧 ▲ ▴ ▲) button, in the "up-down" buttons "1 ↕️ 2" or "1 ↕️ 3" etc ( that will change the "1" (1️⃣) into "2" (2️⃣) etc ) to select a destination page number > then, tap/press on the LEFT-SIDE (destination) page-number ( "2" (2️⃣) etc itself ) > then tap/press on "🆗" / "go" / "Done" / "return" / "enter" button on mobile-screen keyboard.

pls make backup of Mac computer's all data & disks, with TimeMachine software.

then,

please see my comments in this earlier discussion webpage, then click on "All Replies" button in that discussion-webpage.

if NVRAM-RESET process does not work (mentioned here in other post/page),

then get a 3rd-party wifi-USB adapter that is macOS (Monterey or BIg-Sur or Ventura compatible) compatible, & apply those drivers in Monterey/Big-Sur,

... if wifi-adapter's manufacturer (mfr) supplied it.

there are some WiFi-USB enclosure/case that has internal mPCIe/M2 slot to allow+use (Broadcom chip based) WiFi-card,

you can get a WiFi-card from another Mac which is compatible with Monterey,

from ebay or other online-market.

After Wifi-card arrives, scan it very carefully, research further,

and then order a suitable USB-enclosure/case for the WiFi-card.

if you could not find Monterey supported wifi-usb-adapter or a WiFi-card,

then, get another wifi-USB-adapter that is recommended in this post,

which has more links to other webpages.

(such as : github and other websites , etc ),

this way requires, turning-off macOS's SIP , then perform driver loading, then re-enable SIP

... turning-off SIP in macOS is not-recommended,

but your un-supported wifi-adapter in newer macOS,

makes it necessary for you to get compatible adapter,

as your Macbok-Air does not have any Ethernet port,

so you will need compatible wifi-aapter.

Run/keep hardware in cool place or under-shade place or give it cooler air-flow :

when internal hardware will remain less-heated,

then hardware will perform better & run longer time,

or else various hardware component(s) will crash/fail/damaged.

another alternative is:

get these hardware/cables etc, to have USB/Thunderbolt based Ethernet port:

Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple

or this : Apple USB Ethernet Adapter - Apple

info on ports : Adapters for the Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, or USB-C port on your Mac - Apple Support

EDIT : made some changes, read again.
