You can erase / reset the iPhone without using a computer if you have iOS 15.2 or higher installed on the phone.

If you see an iPhone or iPad unavailable message or Security Lockout screen - Apple Support

But, you are going to need your Apple ID and Password for the process.

My phone is new (I haven’t even removed the plastic yet) I had already set my Lock Screen code and was actually in the middle of setting up the Apple ID, when I was distracted the phone of course locked and now I can’t remember the code. I went to iCloud to reset but I didn’t get the opportunity to set it up prior to it locking.
