I am going absolutely mad! I NEED the notifications for meetings that are cancelled and deleted from my google calendar to STOP. I've tried every setting, it shouldn't be this hard!

We'd like to help out. It sounds like you're getting notifications for events that were deleted. Can you provide some detail about exactly what's been happening? This will help us work out if the issue might be on the iOS end, or if you might need to contact Google for assistance with their calendar.
We noticed you listed a MacBook Pro in your profile. Do you get the same notifications on that device as well (if you use the same calendar there), or is it only on the iPhone?
Also, do you use any other calendars like iCloud? If so, are the notifications working as expected there? Let us know.
We also see you may have reviewed your settings. Under Settings > Notifications > Calendar > Customize Notifications, which of these options are toggled on? It would depend on whether you're sharing the calendar in question, but you might want to check the Invitee Responses and Shared Calendar Changes settings there as a start.
