Problem logging into alternate Apple ID for Messages/Facetime on iOS
I'm having a problem similar to this older thread from last year:
iMessage or FaceTime will not allow me to… - Apple Community
This thread doesn't indicate a resolution or if anyone solved the problem. I am having the exact same problem on an iPhone 13 Pro, latest iOS, all updated:
"I am trying to change the Apple ID to a different Apple ID account in iMessage or FaceTime... but everytime I click on the Settings>Messages>Send&Receive> Apple ID>Sign Out> Use your Apple ID for iMessage> USE OTHER APPLE ID...It automatically reverts to the original Apple ID that was signed onto the device. It will not give me a new prompt to submit a different Apple ID and password."
Has anyone solved this problem or can suggest a resolution short of trying to reset the device which I really don't want to do?
