Autocorrect WILL NOT turn off!

I'm using Apple Mail in Monterey. I have read all of the relevant threads and tried every solution, including turning off system keyboard: auto correct. But, my words keep getting "autocorrected" as I type - sometimes into funny or embarrassing other words. No red underlining; no options. Just auto-corrected, which is hard to keep track of.

Autocorrect won't stop correcting in Mail, even though it's off. Hello, in Mail I have Autocorrect switched off. It worked OK for a couple of weeks but suddenly today it's started correcting again even though it's switched off. Toggling it on and off and restarting Mail does nothing, it just keeps on correcting. I need to switch it off and keep it off, it totally messes up my productivity. Any ideas? Keyboard Autocorrection won't work properly Hello, i recently bought an m1 MacBook air and im pretty happy with it. But since 3 hours my keyboard is freaking me out. Normally, when I'm using gmail with safari the autocorrection works without a problem, and also inside WhatsApp it normally works fine. But since 3 hours it only works in certain apps and websites. Mostly in Mac standard apps its working. In WhatsApp (Standalone from the appstore) it won't correct anything and also it won't make an emoji out of :D (I never setted this up, but I'm missing it already). What could I do? And by the way, it also don't correct anything inside the microsoft office apps since 3 hours. I already tried: Turning the autocorrection settings off, rebooting, turn them on again. Inside the App I was checking the Grammar Option settings, all checkboxes are checked. With the grammar spelling tool I also realized that the Mac only recognizes input of words inside of standard programs. I reinstalled ventura I didn't change any setting in the last days I don't use programs like grammarly. What could the problem be? I really miss the grammar checking in third party apps and on websites like gmail.

How to actually turn off Auto Correct So, I turned off Auto Correct a long time ago. But! It still autocorrects my sentences. Specifically, when typing a sentence, it will replace the next to last word with a completely new word. With autocorrect off, it shouldn’t change anything, but it does. I’ve looked for more settings that may be autocorrect related, but am at a loss. I use slide to type, which can be problematic without autocorrect, but I’m fine deleting what I need and switching to hunt and peck. But, when everything is spelled perfectly and every word is chosen as desired, autocorrect jumps in and decides that the second to last word was wrong and needs to be changed…even though autocorrect is off. How do I get rid of this? I know it happens in Messages all the time. I’m not sure if it happens in any other app.

So nothing at all is turned on in Mail > Edit > Spelling and Grammar? Anything unusual in Mail > Edit > Substitutions?

Do you have any 3rd party text manipulation apps on your machine?
