downloading a CD to Itunes

Why does it take so long to download a CD of mine to put in my Itunes account???

If you are referring to importing from a physical CD using your computer's CD drive, perhaps you have set iTunes to use Error Correction when importing from CD (or perhaps the CD drive is slow or faulty). The Error Correction feature helps import from CDs that are difficult to read (perhaps because the surface is scratched) but it will increase the amount of time it takes.


If you are referring to downloading an album from the internet, either from the iTunes Store or anywhere else, perhaps your internet connection is slow.


What do you regard as "so long", and from which source?
