I forgot my old notes password. So i went to setting and tried to reset my password. I typed my apple id password and typed a new password for notes. I went back to notes and typed the new password, it didn’t work. It was again asking the old password

You can’t do that. The new password will apply to new notes only. If you can’t remember the password you used to encrypt the old notes, they are unreadable.

The only “solution” is to remember the password you used to encrypt those notes.
