How to allow Apple Pay on a child account

Self explanatory.

I have a child account for my son (age 12, 13 in March), he has a debit card in the UK with Lloyds Bank.

When he goes to add that card, it says that Apple Pay is not supported with his account.

Is there anyway of enabling it from my account as family Organiser?
