Why does my Music start playing automatically when I get close enough to my iPad with my hearing aids?

I have hearing aids that have bluetooth which is very nice for listening to sound from my iPad in better fidelity for me than thru the speaker. My problem is when my iPad is idle if I come within range of the bluetooth connection Music kicks in with whatever I last listened to using that app. I do nothing to activate it. Also when I am watching a streaming tv show the Music app will suddenly start up and override the streaming audio. How do I get Music to chill out until I activate it?

Hi MPBUser456,

Let's try turning off Autoplay in the Music app as described here:

"Let Autoplay pick what plays next

Autoplay takes the work out of choosing what to play next. Just play a song, then Autoplay finds similar songs and plays them afterward.

To see your Autoplay queue:

  1. Tap the song that's playing at the bottom of your screen.
  2. In the lower-right corner of your screen, tap Playing Next the Playing Next icon.
  3. Scroll down to Autoplay.

To turn Autoplay on or off, tap the Autoplay button the Autoplay button icon in the upper-right corner of your screen. If you turn off Autoplay on one of your devices, then Autoplay is turned off on any device that's signed in with your Apple ID."

Add music to your queue to play next on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Android device

If that doesn't help, you should contact Apple Support using this link to research this further:
