Since update to iOS 18.4.1
Bluetooth Hearing aides do not play audio for anything except phone calls. Hearing aid control app does not work any more (Signia)Podcast audio stops when I turn my hearing aides on.
Possibly related: Microphone delays and may not pick up first 2 to 10 seconds of speech for messaging and voice to text apps.

✽ It may help to: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support (Deletes temporary files, re-establishes connections, may
update recent setting changes, and often restores order if something is not working as expected.

✽ Check with your hearing-specialist or the hearing-aid manufacturer (Eg: contact "support" on their website)
for a possible hearing-aid firmware update, or, as you use an app, an app (and / or firmware) update in the app.
The hearing-aid manual may have tips for firmware / updates / compatiility with iPhone etc.
