Adobe control panels/palettes move/won't stay in place

Hello,

I’ve noticed that control panels change positions when switching back and forth between apps on the Mac Studio running OS Ventura 13.1.

For instance, when working in InDesign, I have the panels set up where I want them, and as long as I’m in InDesign, they stay in place. (screenshot 1)

However, when I switch to any other app, then come back to InDesign, the panels have changed position. This happened with Ps, and Ai as well. (screenshot 2)

Doesn’t anyone know how to stop this?

Thanks!

Michael

Hi Loren,

I've done the same thing and the same thing happens. Exactly as you describe.

It happens to the desktop icons as well. I have them in a very particular order for my workflow, and when I switch between apps or wake the machine from sleep, everything has been rearranged.

Not the worst thing in the world, just annoying.

Thanks for helping!

Michael

Desktop icons - that's a different kettle-- I've destroyed a careful desktop arrangement a few times, and I think I'm inadvertently typing a desktop Sort command. I discovered if I immediately go to the Finder>View>View Options item and make sure "Sort" is set to to "None" menu I've been able to recover the layout.

If I've moved any icon between discovery and View Options, I can't recover it.

There may be a better strategy somewhere. Good luck.

Best as always,

Loren
