Sound cuts out on App on Sony TV

I have a Sony KD-49XF9005 Android Smart TV. I installed the Apple TV+ app and trying to watch an invasion. The video and sound is fine for a while but then the audio will just go quiet randomly. If I forward back and forth then I can get it working again, it’s like the audio crashes and then only works again when it is forced to reload? I’ve seen other discussions talking about loose cables but this is directly on the TV. I’ve looked for an answer but cannot find a way to resolve. Any way to resolve?

The first thing to confirm is that your device is a supported model at the page Apple TV app which lists the following for Sony:


Sony
Sony A9S series (2020)
Sony A9F series (2018)
Sony A9G series (2019)
Sony X85G series (2019 55”, 65”, 75”, and 85” models) 
Sony X95G series (2019) 
Sony X80H series (2020)
Sony X85H series (2020)
Sony X90H series (2020)
Sony X95H series (2020)
Sony X80J series (2021)
Sony X85J series (2021)
Sony X90J series (2021)
Sony X91J series (2021)
Sony X95J series (2021)
Sony Z8H series (2020)
Sony Z9G series (2019)

If your model appears in that list, the next steps would be to ensure that your TV firmware and software are fully up-to-date. Should the behavior continue, reach out to Apple directly via Get Support to investigate further.
