Apple TV; no sound

While watching TV with:

Amazon Fire Stick

Apple TV app (recently downloaded)

Sound doesn't work; when viewing a program, sound cuts out after ~ minute. Sound may resume for very short periods if I wait. Picture works fine. Other applications work fine. Just a problem with Apple TV audio.

Thoughts?

Apple TV 4K Sound Stopping Sounds stops playing on Apple TV 4k. Sound plays fine but then when changing apps or being on the home screen for a while sound will not play on any video in any app. Navigation clicks sounds can be heard on home screen. Automatic previews and trailers will play sound while browsing in app menus (netflix, Apple tv+, etc) but when selecting a show or movie to watch sound does not play anymore. HDMI cable has been replaced. Only fix is to unplug device and wait several minutes before restarting. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated with this extremely frustrating issue.

Apple TV app audio problem I just installed the Apple TV app on a Firestick. On the main screen, when it plays the previews, the sound works fine. However, when I try to watch an episode of something, there is no sound. Going to the audio icon on the bottom right of the screen and selecting another language make it give a loud steady humming noise instead of the correct audio. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, resetting, restarting, but nothing works. Any ideas? Audio works fine on all of the other apps.
