iPhone mirror in portrait mode

I have a monitor that i want to setup in portrait orientation and mirror an iPhone to this screen via the lightning to HDMI output adapter. However, when I do this the video is sideways because the monitor doesn’t have any direct control of the video feed.

is there a way to rotate the output over HDMI by 90 degrees so that the portrait video takes up the full portrait-oriented monitor it’s connected to?

Thanks

Hello jraines9,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you want to be able to rotate your screen on your iPhone when it is connected over HDMI.

There’s not a way to rotate the output. Please kindly leave Apple feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple
