I am out of the country, and I purchased a local SIM card, but my iMessages are not working. How can I go about fixing this.

iMessage doesn’t work I have a new problem! iMessage was set up on my number in previous iOS versions. After updating system software, I set it on my apple id & once I tried to change it back, it doesn’t work anymore:( Also I live in Iran and country code is not available in the list of iMessage settings! Any solution?!

iMessage and esim I have an iPhone 12 and am about to spend some time in the USA and my UK carrier no longer includes roaming. I want to get a data esim. Can I still iMessage as my original number even though the data is going out the esim as it’s easier than trying to get people to contact me a new number.

Yes! I have my USA SIM card and I bought a SIM card in Panama as well

Remove the local SIM card.

Insert your USA SIM card.

When you use WhatsApp you will need also your USA SIM card.

Then remove the USA SIM card an insert the local SIM card if you want to call local.
