Family Sharing - kids app requests not being sent

I’m not receiving the notifications for my child’s app requests to approve or deny. Any ideas?

Make sure notifications haven't been disabled. This article discusses notifications --> Use notifications on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support


Make sure the software is up to date on all devices involved.


If an app or feature on your device is not working, it may have been disabled using Screen Time, or by an IT administrator if you are using a device owned by an employer or educational institution. Sometimes it helps to have the devices involved take a fresh look at settings:

● If this is a service, try disabling it and turning it back on.

● Try signing out of accounts and back in again.

Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac - Apple Support

Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support

● Restarting is a simple step that can resolve many unexpected behaviors.

If a problem persists, particularly over several days, try contacting Apple for assistance:

If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.

Are you the 'Family Organizer'? I see conflicting documentation on whether a parent/guardian can approve or if only a Family Organizer can approve. The note that states only the family organizer can approve says the Organizer sets the payment method and limiting approval to Family Organizer prevents nasty iTunes billing surprises. We have the same problem and it appears to have recently reared its ugly head very recently (Ventura??)
