I am unable to send messages to one contact. They can send messages to me, but every time I try to send something to them, I immediately get a red exclamation mark. They are not blocked in my phone. I've tried deleting the contact and readding them.

Start Here: If you can't Send or Receive Messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. It might have to do with the recipient being an Android user, or it might be the iPhone itself.
