Deleted Calendar invites keep reappearing on iPhone

I have an invitation from 2019 that I initially accepted on my Outlook (on work computer). It is still showing up as a pending meeting every Friday. I go into the invite on the calendar and hit decline (no delete available), chose both "Save for this event only" and "Save for all events". It then disappears for a few seconds then reappears.

I have gone back to my outlook calendar and removed all traces of the original event there and still this keeps recurring on my iphone calendar.

Hi Danno8494,

For help with Calendar events on your iPhone, check to see if the option for "Show Declined Events" is turned on. The information below found in the article here can assist: Set up multiple calendars on iPhone

"See multiple calendars at once

The calendars list with checkmarks indicating which calendars are active. The Done button for closing the list is in the top-right corner.

To view multiple calendars, tap Calendars at the bottom of the screen, then do any of the following:

Select the calendars you want to view.
Tap US Holidays to include national holidays with your events.
Tap Birthdays to include birthdays from Contacts with your events."

Also, does the issue continue if you temporarily disable calendar event alerts for the Outlook account? The section "event alerts" in the same article shared above has the steps. Keep us posted.
