How to factory reset an M2 without internet?

My new M2 can't access internet. I think it may be an app or data transferred from my Intel MacBook backup, so I want to wipe the drive, reinstall Ventura and install apps manually.

To use Erase Assistant, I have to sign out of iCloud using my Apple ID. However... I can't access internet. So I can't use Erase Assistant. So I can't wipe the drive and start over.

Any workarounds for this?

Here's the solution. Shut down. Hold the power button until Options appear. Drop down in upper left corner lets me erase the disk without logging out of iCloud.

Thank you for the prompt response! I started in safe mode, and I'm connected to Wifi (as before, the same connection I'm using for this computer), but I'm not able to open a web page. So I'm in the same situation as before... can't log out of iCloud.

Not sure if "connected to Wifi" is the phrase... Wifi is on, it shows that the M2 is connected to the network, and internet works on this Intel MacBook but not on the M2.
