i transferred all information from my macbook pro to my macbook air but I can't erase and reset my macbook pro because it says it isn't supported. I need to put this macbook pro in the mail for trade in. How do I erase it

systems erase isn't supported on my lapttop. I'm trading it in and need to delete everything before shipping how do I do that?
