Unknown number thats was added on FaceTime won't apear in my call history?

One day an unknown number was added to my face time call and then it didn't appear in the call history. What is it? I need an answer. Is it possible to hack face time?

Hi dinuka193,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! The call history will progressively delete as you receive more calls. If you get a call from an unknown or unwanted number, you can block the contact with the steps here:

  1. From the FaceTime app, tap the Info button Info button next to the phone number, contact, or email address that you want to block.
  2. Scroll down, then tap Block this Caller.

Find these steps and more about blocking contacts here Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Hope that helps!

dinuka193,

Here are some details you may find helpful from the FaceTime security resource:

"FaceTime is Apple’s video and audio calling service. Like iMessage, FaceTime calls use the Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to establish an initial connection to the user’s registered devices. The audio/video contents of FaceTime calls are protected by end-to-end encryption, so no one but the sender and receiver can access them. Apple can’t decrypt the data."

You'll also want to make sure that you keep the device up-to-date to maintain the latest security updates as well: Update your iPhone or iPad

We hope this helps.

Take care.
