Can't enable advance data protection on Iphone 11 Pro Max

Hi,

I just updated my phone to the latest iOS, and I can't enable to advance data protection. I get "Something went wrong. Try again later". I've disconnected all devices from icloud. I've gone through the process of setting up a new recovery code several times. It always tells me the recovery code is set to "off" despite it being toggled on when I go into the settings

iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 16

Hi WonkotheSane45,

If you want to turn on Advanced Data Protection, follow How to turn on Advanced Data Protection for iCloud. When following these steps, ensure:

  1. You are connected to a good Wi-Fi network or have a strong cellular signal.
  2. All of your devices signed in with this Apple ID meets the criteria.
  3. You are not using a managed Apple IT or Chile account.
  4. Your Apple ID has two factor.

If you do, Restart your iPhone and try the steps again.

Take care.
