I am. Resident of Trinidad and Tobago . My MacBook Air screen needs replacing. The local Apple representatives are charging me almost $500 US to complete repairs although the Apple site is telling identifying repairs may cost approx $100 US. Is it more economical for me to ship said device for repairs or can this cost be forwarded to the local stores here in Trinidad ( f1 connect or ?

Identifying an issue and repairing an issue are two different things. The $100.00 may be for diagnostic. Parts and labor may come later.
