I ran an iOS 16 update on iPhone 11, screen immediately became unresponsive to touch. I've done everything in the articles, gone to the Genius Bar x3, I see the same complaints made by others. Is Apple planning to fix this??
I ran an iOS 16 update on and iPhone 11 and my screen immediately became unresponsive to touch. I've done everything in these article about fixing a phone with an unresponsive screen outside of replacing the screen, gone to the Genius Bar x3 and they said that was my only option for liability reasons, but I see there are similar complaints by others claiming that their screens broke down the same way - as in it isn't necessarily a hardware issue or anything related to damage. Is Apple planning to rectify this issue with another update? I asked the screen repair guy at the kiosk how much it would be to replace my screen without wiping the data and he told me this was a known problem with lots of iPhone 11's and that Apple should replace the phone - but I asked the guys at the Genius Bar point blank about this and they said they were totally clueless of any such issue. Do lots of people know about this and Apple is just refusing to go public with the information yet? I've seen like at least 20 other issue submissions on this website with verbatim the same issue but they are all one-offs where a technician (or maybe a bot?) comments, "try forcing a restart". But I've done that literally dozens of times to no avail. I have to say, it makes me not want to buy iPhones anymore.
