Sticky liquid in my charging port

I accidentally spilled tea on my table and since my phone was there too. It may have affected the charging port. I was getting the warning after sometime when it got dry, no longer receiving the warning. But I have to put little pressure on the port, then only it starts charging . So should I get it cleaned up? Or is it fine to leave it alone

Thanks for reaching out sakshi278,

We're sorry to hear about the issue with the tea. It sounds like you got a 'liquid detected' alert but let it dry out. The alert went away, but charging is not working smoothly unless you hold the charger at an angle. That would indicate some type of physical issue, whether it's debris or liquid damage. To further isolate, you can try charging wirelessly: How to wirelessly charge your iPhone.

If you haven't tried cleaning the port, or basic troubleshooting for charging, this resource can guide you: If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge

Take care.
