Corrosion in charging port

Corrosion only occurs in the presence of water, so your only question is where it happened. Did you buy it from an Apple iPhone authorized seller?

Corrosion doesn't happen by magic. You may not have been aware of the exposure, but it happened. It's possible that you were somewhere where there was enough condensation to cause corrosion.

I have returned 2 iphone15 for this reason to my provider and they are now saying both phones have gotten wet. I can assure I didn’t get it wet. They are now charging me! Took to Apple and had green corrosion in it. How long for green corrosion to form. I had only had it 2 weeks! Needless to say I am not happy.

I am facing the same problem with my iPhone 15. It has not been more than 6 months from the day I purchased the phone. And now the phone stopped working 2 days back while I was using it (internet browsing)

There has not been any liquid submerge or contact. Still, the Reseller's service center and the Apple service center have refrained from performing a proper diagnosis and said that as the charging port shows some corrosion this is considered liquid and physical damage, hence not covered under the Apple 1 year warranty.

Any suggestions on how I should request Apple to fix this for me ?

Apple refused to repair under warranty … case no. 102377883900 - case still open and i’m very disappointed and don't know what to do …

See if they will make good on it.
