Purchased music suddenly missing from my library

Days ago, I signed up for a free Apple Music trial subscription. Today I saw that many, many albums and songs I purchased over the years are suddenly missing from my library on all devices. Playlists, including my mammoth playlist of Christmas music, compiled over several years, are skeletal. What is going on, and how do I get Apple to give the music I paid for back to me? I have canceled the trial subscription in disgust since noting my music missing.

Hello Bafflement1222,

Did you possibly activate Sync Music to allow all of your devices to share in Apple Music? If so, please take a look at the following article which might help with this issue: If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library.

In addition, if you need to redownload any previous iTunes purchases, that can be done easily here: Redownload music.

Let us know if we can help with anything else at all or if this doesn't settle your issue so we can look into this further with you. Thanks and have a fabulous day!
