iPhone 14 won't show message notifications on locked screen

I just got an iPhone 14 and noticed that it won't show message notifications on the locked screen. I need to open the phone to see the message notifications. I went to Apple where I bought it and the genius evaluated it and didn't solve the problem. She said to wait.

Does anyone else have this problem.

iOS 17.1.1 Notifications not showing when phone is locked Hi, after updating to iOS 17.1.1 I noticed when I have my phone locked. I will not get alert sounds of notifications like text messages, twitter, Instagram, etc. I tried contacting apple support via a callback, but the agent I spoke to was very unhelpful. She has me reset my settings, and then after my phone reset, I never got a returned call. It didn’t help much. I don’t think turning summary settings on will help much. is this happening to anyone else after they updated to iOS 17.1.1? How can I resolve this? It’s a strange bug.

It appears no one else has this bug. Time to return to Apple.
