I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. After updating to iOS 16.4.1 my message icon on the lock screen has no notification. It used to show the number of unread messages, now nothing. I have done everything I can think of in notifications and messages but still can't figure it out. Can anyone help?

Did you check to make sure the notifications for Lock Screen are turned on? To check, please go to: Settings > Notifications > Messages. Now, make sure that Lock Screen under “Alerts” is checked off.

I found the only way to get notification to appear and make a sound when the phone is locked is to goto apple watch settings>passcode> turn OFF wrist detection.
Obviously this isn't an ideal solution but a temporary fix to get it working.
Must be a bug with the watch and iphone settings.
