In the process of trying to fix a problem with my printer, I somehow removed all the icons in my dock. I'm working on bringing them back on, but strange things are happening, such as "Console" appearing in the dock, etc.

You can remove Console from the Dock. Please refer to Use the Dock on Mac. After reviewing that Support Article report any further problems you may be experiencing.
