How could I download series from Apple TV in another language?

I can't choose language options when I want to download videos from apple tv on my mac.

When I tap on the "download button" it goes only in English when I want to watch it offline; for example, when I do the same on my iPhone, I can switch between a few languages even when I'm offline; how can I fix this?

Btw I found a few issues with apple tv (macbook m1pro 2021). Your test engineers should do a better job with it (let me know if you are interested, and I'll send you videos with this issue)

Hi kamote0628! Thank you for your reply, but it was 100% useless.

Instead of suggesting me to try a different account or run safe mode, you could explain step by step what I need to do to fix this.


Here is the answer for those users who might have the same issue as i had -


  1. Press apple tv - preferences icon
  2. Choose "playback"
  3. In download options, "Most compatible HD" is turned on by default, BUT you can't add any option in the "download audio languages window" it is just not active.
  4. YOU NEED TO CHANGE quality options to "HIGH QUALITY up to 1080" AND only then window below become active and you could be able to add additional languages in "download audio languages" window.
  5. Done


Maybe you need some testers on freelance? Looks like I can do a good job with fixing bugs.
