How can I give an Apple TV+ subscription as a gift to a friend?

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. Since an Apple gift card can be used for Apple TV+ as mentioned in What you can buy with your Apple Gift Card or Apple Account balance - Apple Support, we'd recommend sending a gift card and letting the recipient know you're gifting Apple TV+.

You can send gift cards by Email or Mail from Buy Apple Gift Cards - Apple.

Well, you can see what options can be gifted here also: Gift apps, music, movies, and more from Apple - Apple Support

Since subscriptions automatically renew, they are not covered under these gift options though, as they account must have a payment method on file for subscriptions. You can email a gift card, let them know your plan that they may like said subscription, but they would have to put it on their account.
