HomePod Volume lower than normal.

I am curious if anyone else has had this problem. For a long time the volume was not what it used to be in my paired HomePods.

I came across a thread here and it mentioned seeing if “Sound Check” was turned on in the ‘Home’ app. It wasn’t turned on. So I thought what the heck and turned it “on” to see if that helped. I waited and nothing happened. So I turned it back “off” and a few seconds my music got louder and sounded much better.

it’s as if it was activated but the app said it was off. Toggling “sound check” on then off deactivated it.

I love my hopepods and Apple products but I am by far most frustrated by my OG HomePods the most often.

So, hope this fixes the issue for some people. If anyone from the Apple team read this please report this bug.

This isn't the first time that toggling a feature off and on again, or vice versa, has proved useful. It is if the displayed state may retain a previous value while in the background the state is different, or not all of its contingent dependencies are made consistent.

While there is a team that tries to help answer questions they're not necessarily focused on picking up feedback like this. That might be better directed at Feedback - HomePod - Apple.
