HomePod Volume issues

I am having two issues with my second gen stereo paired HomePods. First, there are times where only one HomePod is playing sound and the second is that the volume is stuck at a level and can not be changed. Both issues are fixed by changing the default audio, ungrouping and restarting the HomePods. However, this is a pain to keep doing this every couple of days. Does anyone know what is causing this and if there is a more permanent solution. Thanks.

This is happening with me too. I’ve reset the HomePods so many times it’s so irritating. Gonna probably take them to the Apple Store to see if it’s hardware related because it’s so irritating to have Siri Shortcuts set up but fail constantly. I also have to recreate my shortcuts for setting up my morning music and radio routines if I regroup so that’s like 15 minutes of annoying configuration daily for the last couple of days. Might as well get google homes again because that worked flawlessly for years.
