Autocorrect broken in 16.1.2

hi everyone, I’ve seen some other gripes online, but I am curious how we might resolve this.

Ever since I upgraded to the latest iOS, I find that the auto correct has gotten a lot worse and dumber. Primarily, like many of us, I don’t bother typing apostrophes for conjunctions. I used to just type the word without it and let the auto correct come up with the fix to fill it in.

This appears to have disappeared in the latest couple updates. they suggested word. Replacements are completely out there and totally different. Does anybody have a fix?

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.

It's possible resetting the Keyboard Dictionary will resolve this issue for you, though it may not be noticeable immediately. You can do this in Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
