air tag stuck in low battery

I replaced the battery in my air tag but it still indicates low battery. This is happening to 4 different tags.

Air tags dead after first battery change This has happened to me three times. Received notification of low battery for AirTag, changed battery according to instructions by Apple and AirTag is dead.
