Bruising from Apple Watch

I began to notice a bruise on wrist a few months ago. It is deep purple in color and slightly smaller than a dime. I thought that I had bumped it however, yesterday I went for a manicure and released the strap and moved it further up my arm just for the period of the time of my manicure. I did not tighten it. In fact, when I stood up to leave, it flipped down to my hand. However, last night when I removed my sweater, there was an identical bruise, and the light came on. As I looked online, it appears that I am not the first person who has experienced this trauma . I'm quite frustrated because as everyone knows this is not an inexpensive purchase and now I don't know what to do with it. At any rate, has anyone come up with any way of wearing the watch without bruising their arm? If so, please leave some hints. Thank you!

I experienced the same a couple of weeks back. I wear mine most of the day and only take it off when I take baths and place it for charging. I was wearing mine quite snug and often I wash my hands with it on my wrist. Water used to collect in between and the snug fit added up to give a bruising on my wrist. Now I wear mine a strap hole lower with a little bit room to spare. I am no longer facing the issue.

My problem is somewhat different. I only have been wearing my watch 2 to 3 days per week, never in water, and I always remove it within 12 hours.

The bruise that arose during my manicure happened within 45 minutes. That is pretty alarming!

I don't believe that Apple calls this a medical device even though it claims to have some medical type of feedback available. To be sold as a medical device (which would offer more consumer protections), it must be cleared by the FDA. They are fortunate in this aspect, because if it were a medical device, these instances would be seen as adverse events and would require reporting. Depending upon how many cases were reported, and how serious they were, Apple might have to change the design or offer a solution to prevent the bruising.
