Bruise on top of wrist from apple watch

I have been wearing an Apple Watch for years and I always wore it on my left wrist. I begin bruising under the watch on top of my wrist so I loosened the watch. But the bruise has not go away and is sore to the touch.

I switched the watch over to my right wrist about 2 months ago, but the bruise on my left wrist has not gone away and is still sore to the touch. Has anyone else experienced this? My husband wants me to go to the doctor to have it looked at, but I thought I would start here first. Thanks!
