Display settings constantly changing after updating to iOS 16.1.1

iPhone 13 Pro Max. After the update, my screen (background in apps such as text, mail) is black. My wallpaper is intermittently normal and black. I have done quite a few restarts, which temporarily solve the problem, but the settings revert to black after a while. My display settings are light screen, automatic "off", night shift "off", true tone "off". Also after the update, in Safari/Google, the auto fill/auto suggest/auto complete has been de-activated in the search bar. Please note I'm talking about the search bar and not the url or passwords or any kind of site autofill. Is there a permanent fix for the display issues, or must I keep restarting? And can someone please direct me to the option for turning on the auto complete for the search bar? Thanks!
