Why does my Always On Display constantly turns on no matter how many times I turn it off?

I tried to fix Dark mode in safari on new iphone (15 pro max), and I couldn’t seem to get it to stay in dark mode (theme; I use google search) no matter how many things I tried. Basically, I accidentally turned on, “Always On Display” and I can’t seem to turn it off now. I turn it off everytime I am on my phone and it automatically turns back on, it is super frustrating. Help with both issues if possible but mainly the Always on Display bug for this discussion!!!!!
