Since updating to 16.1.1 the Save to Files option is no longer an option showing when I tap the share icon. I have checked in the “Edit Actions…” as well by the way. There are multiple options for iScanner (Email with, Send to, Save to) so was wondering where that came from (I do not use iScanner…..did the update load it?). I have not done the update on my iPad yet and everything remains as before on that.

So we understand you don't see the Save To Files nor is the option for Files available when trying to add new options. Could you let us know what app that you're using that you see this in? And as a test, if you check the share options in other apps, do you see Files or no?
Additionally, just confirm iCloud > Files is still enabled: Set up iCloud Drive - Apple Support

Thanks Mario…..no, when I clink the share icon it comes up with option to air drop, send with messages, email etc. (by icon) and the list below just shows Share to Notability (now that I have deleted the iScanner app). When I click on Edit Actions….. it shows Markup, Print & Share to Notability. It does not show “Share to Files” as it used to.

You mentioned your notes being the only app affected. Are these notes you've created or edited using the iOS Notes application or a different app?
If you're using the Notes app and have iCloud enabled for Notes, they'd be synced with iCloud already.

ShannonM1…..thank you so much for replying. ICloud is definitely enabled. The affected app appears to just be my Notes. I have recently had need to scan numerous documents that I need to forward on again so have been using the scan function within Notes. I was then saving them to Files where I could access them in a subsequent email. Just the other day I scanned another document and when I clicked on the share option it only came up with the iScanner options….and I have no recollection of ever downloading that App. I have now deleted iScanner so all that is left in my Edit Actions is Share to Notability. Sadly an app I have never mastered. The Files app is just a simple solution to my basic needs. Oh, by the way, I did check in my Mail and when I open an attachment, go to share, the Save to Files does come up there. I really appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thank you.

Typically, when you save a document it will usually attach to a compatible app. You can also select where to save the document and then select an app to open with when you open it. Are you not given an option for where to save the file?
