my ipad is no longer giving me the option to save to file when tapping the share button while using safari
there has been no new updates, and I haven't changed any settings it just disappeared
any help would be appreciated in order to rectify this

It still appears for me as always (iPadOS 16.1.1).
Some flavors of PDF may not be acceptable.
The “Save to File” option appears conditionally. It depends on what you are viewing in Safari.
Viewing a PDF page, for example, will provide this option.
it is a pdf and I've be saving it to icloud for the last 18 months or more and suddenly the save to file option has disappeared, I've spent the last 5 days googling for an answer to no avail
