Just lost my whatsapp iCloud backup from 1 week ago.

Hello and good day. I backed up my whatsapp on the 21.Nov.2022 and today (26.Nov.2022) have tried recovering the backup on a new iPhone (iPhone 6s).

However, the backup I needed of 21.Nov.2022 isn’t what’s been restored but rather some auto backup of today that happened immediately I opened whatsapp after restoring my phone from iCloud.

This is because whatsapp was among the installed apps when I finished restoring the phone. But, like I bet I should have done, i didn’t uninstall to reinstall again. I opened the app and it immediately asked me to register my phone number which I did. Then it went ahead to make some random auto backup of like 450mbs as I later found out.

Now when I realised my chats were missing their media, I deleted the whatsapp app and reinstalled it but the backup option that was available is the one of 450mbs

the old backup that I need was like 800mbs but the one that’s been restored is like 450mbs.

this new one lacks all my media files and this is so so irritating.

please advise on a fix for this if any.

is there a particular way I can restore chat history from a particular backup instead of the last backup?

please please help. I’m even willing to pay for a fix.
