iWatch not tracking distance with outdoor cycling

Having recently purchased an outdoor bike, I’ve realised that my iWatch isn’t tracking distance or average speed when set to an outdoor cycle workout.

I have also realised that since the summer, my iWatch is very intermittent in tracking my cardio fitness levels … since the end of July it’s only logged one score even though I’ve recorded numerous outdoor walks of over 20 min workouts.

It is recording distance for walks.

I’ve read numerous comments online reporting similar issues and have followed the advice given with checking setting etc … calibrating the watch with a 20 min walk, ‘motion calibration and distance’ is enabled, ‘fitness tracking’ is turned on … but I don’t seem to be getting anywhere!

Not sure where to go from here?
