Iphone X bricked after update (iOS 16)

I recently updated my iPhone X to the iOS 16. Immediately, started getting issues and phone got stuck on boot loop. Followed steps online to restore it (recovery mode and update option on Mac). A few days after phone is stuck on the low battery sign and won't charge. Device does not get picked up on recovery mode either. Had it checked at the Apple store- and got told that the issue is with the logic board and only option is to replace the device entirely.

Has anyone had this issue?

Many users who have updated to iOS 16 and above must have a similar issue if the issues stated by you is due to the iOS.

Unless you state what the issue is many in this forum may not be able to respond positively to the issue you are facing.

With the limited information that you have provided, It is hard to even guess the problems faced by you.

sal ~ The long process of applying an iOS update to an old iPhone with a weak battery can be the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back."

...So if your iPhone X still has its original, aging battery, that's more likely to be the problem than the logic board. What did the techie at the Apple store say about the battery's health? (Assuming she/he even tested it.)
