There is no 18.01. 18.0 is the current version.

Were you running an ios beta?

If so, and you tried updating your new phone to the ios beta, we can’t help you. The beta can not be discussed on the public forums.

As mentioned there is no 18.01 (so it sounds like you were using the beta version…you can’t get support here for beta and according to beta FAQ you would need to revert to a non-beta version before you could contact Apple for support). This is what you would have needed to do with your 15 pro before trying to setup the new iPhone. Maybe check Reddit forums to see if anyone can assist. Otherwise you may have to contact Apple and see what assistance they may be able to provide in your situation

Same thing happened to me and no beta either on old phone which had 18.0.1 official release and the new phone came with iOS 18.0 during upgrade while transfer the phone was bricked had the welcome screen with the passcode in the background which I couldn’t enter the passcode to connect to a computer after several trials I did a reset while pressing volume up the volume down the power and kept power pressed during booting even with Apple logo only then the phone was recognized by iTunes on my computer did a restore upgrade and voila it worked but you have to try several time to get it to show restore mode

A reinstall with the Apple configurator app helped me to install iOS 18 and bring it back alive.

What for the beta will work is:

• revert this way to iOS 18 (all data will be erased)
• Install as new phone (no data copy whatsoever).
• Then install iOS 18.1 beta.
• Reset to factory settings
• Do install from older iPhone

I have the same issue on my new iPhone 16 pro max coming from iPhone 14 pro max

Same iOS 18.01 issue? As has been noted that is beta stuff, and we are not allowed to discuss beta here.

What’s the update? Any solution

I am at 18.0, I am trying DFU mode and reinstalling it. still working on it :)
