Can’t send iMessages to myself.

I no longer can send iMessages to myself after updating to iOS 16. I recently installed the most recent version 16.1.1 and I still can’t send iMessages to myself. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Unable to send iMessages to myself on my iPhone X When sending a "text" message to myself using my iPhone X, it only sends SMS messages (green bubble). I cannot send iMessage (blue bubble) to myself using my iPhone. There is no issue with sending iMessages to all my other contacts, the only issue is with sending to myself when using my iPhone X with iOS 16.0.2 installed. I am able to send iMessages (blue bubble) from my MBP 2015 and 2021 versions all the time with no issues. After syncing, my iPhone X shows MBP iMessage with blue bubbles. How to fix and keep it fixed? I've tried restarting, signing out/in to iCloud, disable/enable iMessages on both iPhone and MBP. Help! Paul

Maybe your iMessage is deactivated.

No. It’s on. I can send iMessages to other people. But ever since I updated to iOS 16, I haven’t been able to send iMessages to myself.
